Was the women's game held in as a doubleheader with the men's game?
Did anyone see the women's game? Comments?
Did anyone see the volleyball--must've been wild exciting to comeback on a good BG squad on Senior Night--18-25, 25-20, 34-36, 25-21, 15-12! Comments?
Lou on the 3-0 side.

The women looked good. I was a little dispappointed that Cobb didn't dress, I was hoping to see her get some time on the floor. Amani Burke looked good, I thought. She has a motor, very high energy and attacked the boards pretty hard for her size. Lampkins also didn't dress, hopefully she is not hurt. The ladies shot the 3 ball a little more poorly than expected, but still cruised. Weatherspoon had a very solid game.
The volleyball game was about as tight a contest (after Set 1) that I have seen in the Convo. The ladies blew it in set 3 after being up I believe 23-16 and failing to close out BG. Great comeback to win sets 4 and 5 though. Simone Miller had a very good match, I thought. Salis was Salis, and Katie Nelson also played pretty well. Great to see the 2 seniors go out with a W on Senior night.

Thanks, 100%. Always good to read that the Bobcats continue their winning ways.

I saw on Arkley's twitter feed after posting earlier that Lampkins was not injured, just wasn't playing for some reason. So I think that's a positive.

Bob said it was pointless to play Q in the exhibition game when it's clear she's our best player. He wanted more minutes to go to the rest to help determine who will be in the rotation.

That is a very interesting take. Never heard that before.
How'd Q take it?
If the players can grasp the greater good sought via the move, I like it. Winning creative.

Boldon's team played great. Weatherspoon really shined (21 PTS, 12 RB) and she made 3-5 from three. A lot of people I've talked to really liked her aggression on the floor and they hope it continues into the season.
Kelly Karlis had a good shot last weekend, 3 of her 4 FGM were three's and that's good to see. Yamonie ran the floor really well as always, Taylor Agler showed how she can distribute the ball. Which is different in my eyes than how Yamonie does. Yes, Amani Burke was great. I'm interested in how many minutes she gets this season.
As for volleyball, they came out slow to start, but of course battled their way back. The 3rd set was crazy (36-34) but went BG's way. A career night for Katie Nelson, 17 K's, 8 Total Blocks. Mal had a double-double 18 K's, 13 Digs. I was very impressed with Jaime's defense.. 14 Kills, 19 Digs (just two shy from Erica's 21).
All in all, it was a memorable night for seniors Brooke and Mal. Not all that emotional, more celebratory and smiles. The meal provided by the folks in the Rohr Room was amazing, and the fun that took place felt like a family atmosphere. A fun Saturday for both teams. Bummer there's no more volleyball in the Convo for awhile.
