Our leading Indiana Mr Basketball candidate leaves the state for a prep school that is not a school but a PO BOx. Chaos ensues and somehow Gary Trent and son make it into the conversation. THe Indy Star article outlines the Trent's involvement nicely. Crazy stuff and big money in HS hoops looking for the next big star.

MHO. It is one thing for a kid who needs grades help or exposure to head off to institution like Brewster or Oak Hill Academy but this is a PO BOx in Napa that does not have accreditation and exists only as a basketball academy and does not/will not prepare the kid for academic rigors of college.The shoe money these guys accept is off the hook. It will be interesting to see how this plays out over the next few years. Saw the kid play last year. Real deal, like Zeller, Oden, Kyle Macy,and going back through Rick Mount and Oscar Robertson before him he had a chance to be something of an immortal here in Indiana. Mom and Dad sold their kid to the highest bidder. Will be a good one to follow....for now Dakich has no problem calling a spade and spade. .

I do not think Dakich would ever deny he is an ass. He does not care much about what you or I think of him. Seems like the only thing he cares about is exposing the real story and getting to the reality of situations. These are bad guys. He invited them on to tell their story...that did not happen. Let me know what you find out about the school, program, recruiting and players....and maybe a little bit about the money and where it is flowing when you look into it...

After a certain political movement gets its way and schools are for the most part privatized and we continue to grow vouchers, these "factories" will increase to be more of the norm.
