Looks like a crowd of 809 showed up for Fiami's season opener today. Safe to say we'll surpass that total 45 minutes before tipoff on Saturday.

Granted, a dead man walking is back for his final season a third time.

I don't think you can even measure "hope" in Oxford at this point.

I didn't think they cared and looked up salaries for their coaches. They are in the top of the food chain. Check this out:

I live on the west side of Cincy, maybe 35 min drive to Millett. My sister in law went there.

I know NO Fiami alums who follow the sports programs. None go back for games. I've said before we know a half dozen alums who literally are baffled by my dislike of their school, they don't know they're our rival. Unreal.

But they have had a lousy last decade in sports. More fans will show when they are better.

I guess they didn't want to cannibalize themselves since they had a Friday night hockey game, but a 1PM weekday game does it anyway.

You make a great point. Why not have hoops at 6pm, hockey at 8:00ish?

I was watching parts of this game on Friday. Kind of felt like the game was being played in outer space with the empty stands and the lights darkened.

Same...I know a ton of Miami grads in my neighborhood and whatnot. They are all completely baffled that I actually follow my school and not OSU. The rivalry is stale and boring without anyone who cares on the other side of it.

But they're our "Arch Rival"...that we've beaten 90% of the time over the last decade or more.
