Messenger article today mentions that Kenny tweaked his shoulder during GT game. He did it after his third three, came out of the game and returned to hit 2 more.

Saul talked about not wanting to return to the shoulder brace, and that KK may have to play through pain. I don't think this will have much of an impact on the result of tonight's TT game but KK's health is huge for the season, IMHO.

I saw it mentioned on Twitter earlier this week that KK was sitting at 7th nationally in made 3's and everyone ahead of him was shooting at a much lower percentage.

GT players mentioned his 3s are what really swung the game. We are deep on the wings but his explosiveness on offense is unique to him.

No Kenny tonight. Hopefully, it's just precautionary and saving for Marshall. Kenny did not shoot well last year with the same injury.

Unfortunate chronic thing. He injured his shoulder as a senior in high school then had a recovery setback forcing him to redshirt his first year at MSU.

SHoulders suck. Had mine rebuilt. Talked to Brandon WOod over the summer while he was at Southern Ill...had battled his since HS and had surgery before his stint at Mich St. Still playing overseas and was doing well with repair last summer. Hope KK and training staff can get this under control. He has been really good early from the field.

Would Kenny be better suited as instant offense coming off the bench a-la Vinnie "Microwave" Johnson?

I've wondered that as well, but for different reasons. I can't see how coming off the bench helps the shoulder that much though.

I think it depends on who his replacement is. Saul started Culver in his place v. Tenn. Tech, leaving Block to guard a post-up player. This matchup, at least on the defensive end, appeared to be a mismatch with Block picking up 2 quick fouls and ending up with his least productive game of the season (even Saul said as much in the post-game show). Perhaps Carter, who got more minutes v. TT and played his best game to date, could start in KK's place, providing a big body to help Campbell out down low defensively. Just some thoughts/observations.

I was speaking generally, not just about the injury. However it would probably be a reduction in playing time. So less wear and tear and reduced chance of injury.

Was there any info in the broadcast or post game on Kenny and Jordy? Did both end up starting? For those that saw the game, did Jordy seem ill? Did Kenny go back to the brace? Did he seem the same as in the first 4 games?
