http://www.espn.com/mens-college-basketball/insider/story... That one is for insiders only. John Gasaway uses a number of things to project every team. He projects Ohio 116th, which ranks behind Akron (82), Eastern Michigan (97) and Toledo (109) in the MAC. He also has Ohio State 39th. A major factor he uses is returning possession minutes, which for Ohio is 85%, one of the highest in the nation, so I'm not sure how he arrived at that ranking.
http://www.espn.com/blog/statsinfo/post/_/id/126064/prese... This is a preaseason BPI from 1-351. Ohio ranks 99th, behind Toledo (77), Eastern Michigan (84) and Central Michigan (93) and just ahead of Akron (104). If factors in percentage of roster returning, past performance of those players, recruiting rankings and coaching. It ranks Ohio's offense as 36th in the nation but defense as 236th. By the way, Ohio State is 12th! in this ranking.
http://www.espn.com/mens-college-basketball/insider/story... This final one is insider only. It's Jay Bilas' preview and Ohio is mentioned a few times. Antonio Campbell is listed as one of many mid-major All-America candidates and is the only MAC player listed. Note: Evan Bradds also is on the list. Jaaron Simmons is one of 17 "sweet playmaking guards," and Jordan Dartis is one of the 20 "net-snapping shooters."
