If we're putting in walk-ons and Harley isn't getting minutes, I am guessing he's hurt enough to be unable to go. But then again, he's dressed & practicing, so who knows.

Thought today's game was pretty ugly. Seemed like a million turnovers, and the whistles seemed to keep the game from flowing much. But a win is a win, and good to see we can win handily even though it didn't seem like we had things clicking.

I'm really happy we have Doug to take over for Tony next year. He seems to be getting better all of the time. Also glad Gavin started launching some of the open looks that he had.

We still gotta make those layups though! It's gonna burn us eventually.

They had 31 points 31 minutes into the game. I wonder what percentage of those were directly off of OUr turnovers or free throes.

First let me say that I have no problem with Block and KK, I actually think Block's potential is higher than I would have guessed coming into the season now that I have seen him play more. I just think we need to play more of Carter and Taylor in lieu so some of their minutes. With Campbell trying to show NBA scouts that he can also play outside we are just playing way too small on offense. Simmons is penetrating more than he was but with a lot of the time nobody posting up or boxing out there is less inside out movement to get threes for KK, Block, and Dartis than there should be. I think the answer has to the to play them less and the big freshmen more. I think in less playing time those guys they will get more better open shots than they are now.

What I noticed about Cleveland State today was that, eventhough they have zero interior presence, they're perimeter offense is awful. Should be a really good year for the Vikes.

Great victory, great defense. We need to find out how to get consistency out of Kaminski and keep playing good defense.

Thanks to Borna for periscope viewing - that was great. Even some interesting color commentary... :)
Yeah I was not aware that was the case. "color " commentary. When the white kid checked in all the Ohio bench and players started yelling "shooter. shooter".... I found that oddly funny. When I listened back it was a little louder than I thought. I remember why I stopped doing video for Tommy's AAU club....I tend to be looking at the entire play on the floor and forget to move the camera. That was fun though. Happy youse guyzz got to at least were able to see a little bit.

After today's performance, I'm a little fearful about the road game at WKU. I know that WKU has only won one game this year, but they are going to be desperate for a win and this game is on their home turf. BTW, does anyone know if 5-star recruit Mitchell Robinson is being red shirted? I haven't seen his name in game stories. How about our old buddy Bearden? I assume he's sitting out a year after the transfer from Beefs.
Western Kentucky is 4-7 but has yet to lose at home. They have played a murderous schedule on the road. They did manage to pummel Indiana State on the road a couple of games ago. As for Robinson, he has said that he isn't stepping on the court until the check clears. Just kidding, he's a HS senior this year and won't be with them until next year. You are correct about Bearden. Does anybody know if this is a home-and-home arrangement because it would be fun to have them in the Convo next year.

Sorry about the wrong record. They are 4-7. I looked up their record yesterday and I must have found some record for a previous year or something. Maybe I stumbled onto a fake basketball news site! ;-). Seriously,. Thanks for the correction. Now, however, I'm even more worried!

Hah! No worries. We need this game in the worst way heading into MAC play. Would love to have gotten 3 wins in our road games but getting 2 is important for the team's psyche IMO.

Agree...1-3 in these non-con road games will not bode well heading into MAC play.

Wku.... The same one that best Indiana street that best Butler. Records aside wku and ISU are pretty good, if undervalued, clubs that are inconsistent and trying to find their way. I suspect we will have a game on our hands even though their personnel issues are not resolved to next year. It would be a good win should we did to the occasion. Both teams are capable with Little luck of getting into the dance this year.

I believe I read Arkley say somewhere in the summer that it's a home and home with WKU and Iona.
