are you sure about that?
Woulda hated to be that janitor.
Would have been a real scoop for a young high school beat writer at the time for Newsday.

As a lifelong Bullets fan I'm going to say Rick Mahorn and Beef Brothers.
I'm also a lifelong Bullets fan and was happy as a pig in slop when Bob Ferry turned Jeff Ruland into Moses Malone and Terry Catledge. Thank you Sixers.

Someone has to explain Saul sitting Campbell during that crucial stretch with under 5 minutes to go. Don't get it...even with 4 fouls.

5 minutes without scoring. You have to be kidding me. How about making a free throw. Very discouraging.

Lose one starter and some how Ohio is not as good as last year! Oh well . We are used to being disappointed here at Ohio.

Poor all the way around. Not sure what Simmons was thinking when you should just hold the ball and milk clock down 1 with 27 seconds left. Can't make FTS, Saul bad job of keeping Campbell on bench late and despite the late 3, Block is absolutely lost on offense. His game is NOT posting up and playing with his back to the basket. Long way to go and hope they figure it out come March.

Second game I've watched this year (GT was first). We look....not that good. I mean we'll be decent in the MAC, but this team isn't "special" in any way shape or form. I'd hoped for more with Simmons/Campbell/KK as 4th year guys along with Dartis and incoming frosh. Maybe it was just a bad game, or "life on the road" but I don't see any improvement from last year.

This team needs to clean up the mistakes late in games. We gave this game away today.

This was the first time this year that I've seen our guys look selfish almost all the way around. Jaaron was not calm enough on that pass you're talking about. Jordy did the same thing on his fast break offensive foul. Should have pulled it out. Tony got caught up in jawing with their big guy and their big guy DOMINATED he, Carter and Taylor. Kenny still can only shoot 3s. Even Culver was looking for his shot first and Laster came off the bench and fired up a 3 right when he entered. The only guy playing team ball the whole game was Block. He never quit. Too many wide open layups in transition while we pouted. Tone had solid stats but if he wants to be elite, he showed tonight why he's got some growing up to do. I am more disappointed in this loss than the Marshall loss.

BBIQ should be high on this team. Back to back steals with a five point lead and we don't set up an offense and run some clock. Two quick shots. SMH

But that lone starter brought a ton of intangibles which I'm not seeing out there this year.

I think we are overall better than last year, but they have more expectations too. Bench is far better than last season. Schedule is too soft for a mac contender. Today was like a tough mac game. Have to stay focused every possesion late in game. Critical laspes today.

Amen. Treg was a glue guy. Tell me who our glue guy is this year? It's crazy to think that Block can be that guy as a sophomore. Heck, he's already accomplished more in two years than most sophomores. I thought it would be Simmons but he's a leader not a glue guy. I think Carter will grow to be that..but who is our ice-cold glue guy? We need it.

Good point that I forgot to mention. For all the NBA talk - Tone needs to keep dreaming. He's way too unathletic (which leads to bad/slow footwork and generally bad defense and fouling) to be a forward in the NBA and way too small to play C. Maybe he can make a good living in Europe, but he got Pwn3d by a dude from Iona today.

Performances like today and Marshall won't help the ol resume. Maybe he should worry less about the NBA and more about how to help OU become better than a "good" mid-major team. Just a thought.

This.

Several lapses at the worst time. Gave this one to Iona. Not sure where the Senior Leadership is during these letdowns.

First, I love me some Treg Setty. Wish he won Ohio roster every year.

But, 2016-17 Bobcats will be better than 15-16. KK healthier. Jaaron 2nd year in MAC. Jordan, Block and Taylor likewise, non-freshman now. And Carter and Culver deserve court time as frosh.

I'm disappointed team lost to Marshall AND iona, but I expected one defeat from those two games.

C'est la vie.

And does anyone think that we will be better next year? I have to wonder where the points will come from.

Have been preaching this all year. If Doug Taylor is starting at center next year, we are in trouble. Where are the points in the paint coming from?

Milwaukee Bucks fan here - loved watching Sam Casell SR. play. Bobcats cannot keep losing these tight ones or we are in big trouble when MAC play begins. We should have had this team by 10.

I agree 100%! I was hoping this would be one of those special teams! I'm tired of hearing how Tone is the best player on the court! Not today! Not vs. Bryant or Marshall......

They need to be more disciplined and have a killer instinct. Tone may not have had a great day, but I dread seeing this team next year without he and Kaminski. Block and others have to give us more, period

+1000 on ALL these posts. So much truth being spoken. I'm afraid I over valued this team. They are soft. Can't take a punch. Total frontrunners. Perfect example was play in final :30... after Ohio blew scoring chance, they stood and pouted while Iona got FB lay-up + foul.

AC was invisible last 8 minutes... Unless you count whining to officials about no-calls. He is so mentally weak... Once one bad thing happens he just shuts down or makes lazy dumb foul. Go back and watch his fourth foul. Total frustration. Microcosm of this team. Zero poise.

No ball movement late. That possession with 1 minute left down 1 was horrific.

This team might still win MAC, but any dream of them competing with NCAA caliber teams is wishful thinking right now.

Lots of growing up to do... From veteran players. Sad

Reading these posts, I don't know whether to laugh, shake my head, or what. Yes, there was some "really poor stuff" (quoting my own analysis I sent to a friend) late in the game that cost us the game, and I was mad about some things. But I'd never draw the conclusions that some of y'all are drawing.

I wonder what some of you guys were thinking back in 2012, our Sweet 16 year. Right in the middle of our MAC season, we had two consecutive losses where we looked like a 300 plus RPI team...I was present for both of them...First, a loss to a mediocre Toledo team after getting off to a 15-0 lead. Then, A Few Days later, we go to EMU. We don't even SCORE until the 900 mark of the first half, and we lose handily.
I figure some of you were ready to give up on that bunch.
