I'll be in Cleveland Thurs-Sunday this year, I must admit I have high hopes for this team.

Love the coach, love the student athletes, love the 110 and love my fellow obc members (whom I barely know in real life).

Makes a fella proud to be a Bobcat...

Bravo on the early booking!

You mention something that gave me a thought. I've often thought it would be good once during basketball season to have a little BA happy hour type of thing for those who are interested. Just a thought. I know many of us know a handful of people on here personally already, but the idea of meeting and talking in person after a game sounds like a fun idea.

Smart move and already did the same because Ohio is winning it all this year.

I think a BA Happy Hour is a great idea! I'd go to that.

I would only go if there was a dedicated shuttle.

I wonder what effect this being spring break will have on attendance. Thoughts? On one hand I could see it increasing student attendance for those who go home for break.

That's a good point, Alan. Some might be off doing Spring Break-y things, but I only was able to do that once while at OU. A lot should be home in NE Ohio...

At last years tournament Miami didn't send Cheerleaders, the Band, a couple of coaches, anyone from the Athletic Department, trainers, students or fans. 302 KenPom this year. I bet they send the Women's Volleyball team!

My wife(Varsity O member) and I are so invested in the Bobcats and this years MAC Tournament that we sold the house out in Medina County and moved to nearby Lakewood.

I booked Renaissance downtown, which I believe is traditionally the team hotel. Hopefully a good amoubt of fellow alumni will stay there too. Last time I was out near University Circle.

I'm sure to be found in the hotel lobby bar, Malley's Chocolates or at the A Christmas Story House that weekend.

Any idea on the tournament setup/bracketing this year? MAC web site says March 8-11 (4 days) which would indicate that it's different than last year.

Those dates may include the first day of the women's tournament.

Good Question. I thought it was the same, but then saw this in the article about the Men's pre-season poll.

Conference action begins on Tuesday, January 3 as teams will start to fight for position in the MAC Men's Basketball Tournament that will take place on March 8-11 at Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland, Ohio.

Edit: For what it's worth the Ohio schedule has it listed for Campus games on Monday 3/6 with the Q hosting games Thursday, Friday and Saturday (3/9-3/11). Kent and Miami's are the same, but Akron, UB and BG didn't have the tourney listed on theirs.

Good point. Although I was somewhat fond of the triple-bye system, that really put emphasis on doing best in the regular season. So either way is cool I suppose.
