I'm doing a quick perusing of the scores from last night, and saw a couple surprises:

-JG's Illini lost to Winthrop in OT. (ouch!)

-Northwestern beats Texas rather handily

-Georgetown, despite Bill Walton openly rooting against them during the broadcast, beats Oregon in Maui.

-Okie State beats UConn in Maui - Huskies start out at 1-3 so far.

-In the game I watched the most, ND and Colorado played a really good one for anyone who didn't get to watch it. The Irish look pretty solid.

-OSU beats Larry's team. I still have to wonder if this OSU team is really that good. There's so much talent at the 2, 3, and 4, but seemingly no point guard.

Walton may have legitimately been high during that broadcast. He was a rambling non-sequitur factory who seemed to have no more than a five-second attention span. I know his style is "unique" even to those who like him, but he was close to being off the rails yesterday.

I thought the same thing. He took his ramblings to the next level last night.

It was off the rails, to the point that I'm wondering why he wasn't taken off the air during the game. I've never been a fan to begin with, but the ramblings caused me to change the channel.
