It seems like BSU attracts ADs that are delusional on what the fanbase considers a successful season. They extended Taylor after BSU "won" the MAC West by default at 7-9. Now Whitford gets 3 more years due to going 10-8 in the MAC and a CIT appearance which to me is no different than your average Tim Buckley era season, except that 3rd tier meaningless tournament didn't exist in 2003-04/2004-05.

I've generally been supportive of Whitford. Thought last year was too soon for the extension, for exactly the reasons we've seen this year. I'm officially in the "he needs to go" camp now. 0-3 against the Indiana teams we play in year 4 is not acceptable. Billy Taylor could do that.

I like Whitford as well but going 0 for Indiana, with two of the games at home, isn't going to make their fanbase all that happy. I might be offbase but I'm predicting that Tayler Persons will become the most disliked opposing player in the MAC pretty quickly.
