Foul trouble, big deficit, big road win to move us to 3-0 in the MAC.

I call it an unsung heroes win. Awesome contributions from Gavin, Mike, and Jason.

I'd also say Buffalo was "awesome" in contributing ... particularly on the foul and subsequent double technical when we hit all 6 FT's.

Credit our team FT% defense, holding UB to 60% at the line. This, after holding Kent to 44% one game after the Flashes went 31-of-31 from the line.

This reminds me of all-time trash-talk legend, DJ Cooper. There is something to be said for having an elite point guard in your ear while your trying to make a "free" throw.

I think it's something Saul and Co. emphasized over the summer.

According to KenPom, Ohio is 55th in the nation in FT% defense allowing just 66.4%. Last year, Ohio was one of the worst in the nation (330th) allowing 73.5%. The work is paying off.

Alrighty fellow Catfans, pretty funny about the ft. defense. You crazies made me laugh.
As critical as I have been previously concerning road losses to Marshall, Iona, and WKU, THIS was a gut check type of road win. I watched every second of the game and am impressed with how we are growing up.
Let's just take this win and get the heck out of Dodge. Teams that ultimately win conference championships do so by virtue of wins like we had tonight.
Well done men, you did us proud!

That's what was there. Buffalo completely overplayed the three point line and dared us to beat them off the dribble. That's how I would defend us as well. It really frustrated us for much of the game.

You do things to make the shooter lose concentration. Like when he comes to the line, the OU player closest to him says to the teammate across the lane, "If an eastbound train leaves Chicago at 8pm going 30 mph...."

This was a gutsy road win. Just consider that the differences in the Iona/WKU losses, and this win are pretty darn small. I'm enjoying this bunch again this year, and last night's second half was all kinds of fun to watch.
