Way to create turnovers.

That is the way to take care of business!

Let's see some improvement with the free throws when/if games get tight.

Go OHIO, way to smoke Kent and knock the Flashes on their ashes.

Enjoyed watching this nationally televised game tonight. What did I see? A killer instinct! Once again, in the first half, the Bobcats stormed ahead to a double digit lead. What did I not see? A collapse on offense in the second half. Great game, OHIO! It's still very early in the season, but I am encouraged by this stellar performance. Need to do as well on the road now.

Very nice game -- OHIO dominated from the get-go. We took KSU completely out of their game and they looked very frustrated all night. The one big takeaway word tonight was INTENSITY. The 'Cats played with it both on offense and on defense. The only other game this year that came close was GT. Keep it up and we go far this year, IHMO.

Great to see this out of the team tonight. This was a grade A ass kicking. Saul likes to empty the bench though so the scoreboard probably won't always show them.

Crowd got into it in the first half when things were chippy. Also got into it when we were laying it on them.

I wish O Zone was here for this one. Would have been sweet.

We won on national TV. I don't have stats but seems like we frequently falter on the bigger stage (or big sibs/dads weekend crowds)

Great to see that Kent State is very rattle-able. May come in handy in March. Hall had stats but was rattled. They had 3 or 4 guys with more fouls than points.

I hope there is good video of the 7 footer flopping, I'd like to rewatch. It's funny because he was the guy asking for the review. Things were happening so fast but it seems like he seemed to take a jump/trip/dive on his own and then act as if he was hurt in the head eye area.

One gripe/suggestion: When we're on a 10+ run and the opposing coach has to take an emergency time out, play the Zombie Nation, but play it immediately after time is called, and louder than typical. Way more effect that way. It's not that hard, and we fail to get the timing down. 5 seconds later makes all the difference IMO.

Awesome night in the Convo.

Edit: holy crap does Kent suck at making easy shots. (although kudos to our D too) We'd be pulling our hair out if Ohio did this so poorly. No wonder they have so many offensive rebounds. They missed a dozen shots within 3/4 feet of the hoop. Amazing.

Couple firsts for me tonight:

1. Seeing a bat in the Convo (Why was everybody ducking? The one thing a bat will Not do is fly into you!)

2. Seeing it happen, then seeing/hearing a player walk away from live play to say to a ref - "He hit me in the nuts!" (Tone)

Great recap Mcbin.. DelLeRosa flop call was astounding ,- the whole game was . Way cool game with some sick D by the Cats... nothing more I love than turnovers/steals. Thank you Jordan Dartis. Those quick hands and quick switches on D were sweet... and hey Kenny K , you kindof rock ! Big win ... our slick point guard is a jewel- Block did his thing, smart and timely buckets and assists . # 45 had his highlights as well,, love his game . Smart well coached game on the big stage . Impressive . Thank you team & coaches , it was a pleasure to watch and my blood pressure barely rose !

I really like Laster in the rotation, his defense is terrific and he's being aggressive offensively. Going 9 deep on the bench is going to pay dividends.

Great game, good passing and shooting. We lost our focus on the boards in the second half, but we got a lot of steals.

Most compete effort of the season for me. Total domination for last 30 minutes. AC wasn't typical post up player, but got some easy rolls around the hoop (and got his customary 4 fouls against Kent)

Really hope this kind of game is translated on the road. We've seen them struggle on road already. We'll find out Tuesday at UB

He's going to be a villain for three years. Not only did he flop on the technical, he flopped on the first call of the game against Tony. Tony did extend his arms to push but De La Rosa acted like he had been shot. Then he rabbit-punched Tony in the gut just before Kenny's long three in the second half.

First time i've seen Our boys this year. i have a friend from kent state and said if we shoot well we might win. told him we don't play defense. compared to last year was i wrong. this team is tons better defensively from what i saw last night.

i hope campbell is ok after getting pushed on that breakaway. he could have really been hurt. tony was wincing after like he tweaked his back. it could have been really bad. i don't mind hard fouls, but that was flat out dangerous.

no one in the mac can beat Ohio if they play like that. No one.

Total domination. Watching the first half with the crisp cuts and passes and the denial of passing lanes was like watching a well choreographed ballet. For about the first 10 to 12 minutes the uptempo back and forth was exactly the kind of exciting basketball that I think most fans like to see. Half to agree with Ben that it's too bad the Ozone wasn't there.

Nice recap.

I said the same thing about their offensive rebounds. 3-4 shots to get 2 points when down by 20 was a good trade off. Looked like the D was most of the reason for this- hands everywhere. For the most part they let them play through those scrums which was good to see.

Great game. The funny thing to me is reading the comments before and after the game. Some can really whip themselves into a frenzy speculating what might happen.

There was a lot to love, but I think my favorite part was the response to Kent State's mini run in the second half. I think they went on a 7-0 run after the lead got over 20. It was nice to see them take a punch and respond with a bigger punch. I hope that kind of toughness plays out the rest of the year.

I think the Flashes had a bad game, but I also think the relentless Ohio D helped make that happen. I hope we see that every game, because it will lead to a lot of wins.

My two cents:

Tone definitely put two hands on defender and shoved him on our first offensive possession of game. Good call.

Culver looked good on D, not so much handling the rock on transition. Hes young, though, and i project good things to come.

Kenny. A+.

D taylor is progressing nicely.

I love Block, much like i did Boals and Treg.

When's the last time we beat an upper level MAC team and made it look normal? Impressive night. Great game lads.
