The New Albany student body, still upset about star basketball player BJ Duling transferring from New Albany to Newark after his sophomore season, tried to get into Duling's head during the team's visit to Newark's Jimmy Allen Gym last Friday night. Among their attempts to rattle Duling was the familiar "Kent read, Kent write, Kent State" chant as Duling, who's headed to Kent next year, shot free throws.

I doubt the NA students recognized the irony in that Duling received a New Albany education from 4th grade through 10th grade. Duling ended up with 28 points and in one of the game's first possessions forced the NA center into committing 3 fouls.

On an unrelated note of "Kent read, Kent write, Kent St.", they are the last school in the MAC still without the necessary abilities to broadcast on ESPN3.
