Noticed more than a few empty spaces where the Bobcat Black seats were in front of the students. Did Athletics finally get the hint that those seats were a terrible idea?

I could've told them that when they were first introduced, when Alan Swank and others were complaining about the O Zone but not actually going to do anything about it, they weren't going to do anything about it......

Oh man what a throwback. Monroe also had seats there and I used several times.

Monroe bought seats, gave them away for a donation to the athletic department and people got him banned.

Is that the whole story, Billy? Or perhaps there's more to his banning?

If I'm not mistaken, Billy wasn't even on the board at that time. Wonder how he knows about it.

Billy has been on the board since the TCOM days and took a new handle when the site crashed in and around 2008? But nice try. Not sure why even an innocent post by me triggers some of you.

Speaking for myself, I am not triggered. Gonna go out on a limb and guess Andrew Ruck is not triggered. I'm just thinking there is more to Monroe's banishment from BA than what you posted.

Never said you were triggered. It was generally speaking and those who know know. It’s those that send me fan mail on DM’s. Believe it or not I have lots of respect for what several bring here. Including you.

BTC- the reason an innocent post triggers many of these people because they don't respond well to people who disagree or post a remark different from them. They can't handle the facts. Some of these posters are in the good old boys club and if you dislike something they say, they will shred you.

Just like when 695, Alan Swank, and others were complaining about the O Zone but didn't actually do anything about it, because they were never going to? That's their role, just harp on and harp on.....

I several times posted threads, even in Siberia, asking if it wasn't time to let Monroe back in, and they were usually, if not always, promptly deleted by you or one of the other mods. I know Monroe could a pain in the butt, but this thread proves that he's not alone in that category.

Yes, more than one. And, after his banning I got emails from him every now and then for a few years. They were equally annoying, egotistical, and extremely arrogant. But there are those still on this list, present company excepted, of course, that I find have all those same attributes. I just don't see that he did anything that bad that deserves a lifetime ban. If he came back, I'd probably cringe at some of his antics, but it just seems to me the punishment did not fit the crime. Maybe a cooling off period for 90 days, but not a Black Sox like ban. Without naming, names there was one poster on here who years ago faked documents related to another poster, and posted these doctored documents. He was given some kind of temporary suspension, I believe. At least he was off for awhile, but then came back. Seems to me that that offense was worse than anything Monroe did.

Glad to be mentioned in such esteemed company as 695. Just out of curiosity, what would you have liked us to do about it, whatever it was?

Guess, I’m as boring as I thought I was. Because I never got a middle of the night Monroe Message.

Ted, if Monroe didn’t buy tickets and give them away for donations, that is news to me. I just recall him doing a bid or something. If he didn’t really donate, I never cared to check.

I know I talked to him about this as I hooked a friend up with his seats. It was either athletics or his academic department.

It was always a 50/50 split between Athletics and I think the business school, but I'm not 100% on that.

And I believe Ted was referring to the reason he was banned from the board was not because of these donations, it was for other reasons.
