This game won't make or break our season but wow would it be nice to nab one away on these guys!

Interested to see what the line comes out at. I would guess Akron by a couple. CBS Sports got a good one for their weekly game. Anyone gonna go?

VS Toledo, I believe Zips were 3-16 from 3 in the first half and ended 9-29 . Toledo had 31 FT attempts and made 25 while Zips had 9 FT attempts and made 6. (Getting homered at home?) Gross got T'd up after one of his players received one!

In the second half the Zips got the pick n' roll effectively working against the Rockets and this will have to be an area of focus at practice this short week.

Excited to see the Bobcats locally and my prediction is a win as long as the Bobcats stay even or better on the three point makes. Turn it over less, get more points in transition and the Bobcats will leave Akron with a close win.

Agree. If before the conference schedule started and somebody said, would you take 4-1 after five games…we would all say yes.

I have mixed feelings about playing Akron. It's always a really close game or a blowout it seems. If we steal one up there, they'll steal one in Athens or vice versa. Hoping it's close and high energy.

Right?! The first Akron/Kent/Toledo game always seem to be the test for whether our guard play is at MAC title competitor level.... When healthy I think we are with Reef, Pav, and etc. But they gotta play smart for 40 minutes.

I say it every year, I hate these guys. Whatever the outcome I just want our guys to bring the intensity and play hard. I know Boals will be fired up and would imagine they get a pretty rowdy crowd in attendance. Big test, no doubt.

I think in addition to the game odds, there out to be a betting line on which coach will get a "T" in this game. I believe I saw a stat last year that Boals was the most T'd up coach in the league. I can't believe that Groce isn't close behind him.

Heading there with a couple other local families. Unfortunately, we're the only Bobcat family in the group.

Hell yes! Nice early game and forecast of very nice January weather. Get to see the Bobcats and added attraction of seeing the Zip staff I used to love and now love to hate!

We lost two key seniors to graduation they lost two key also but one was a superstar and so OUr two should be easier to replace than their two so I am expecting a Bobcat win while I watch from the $45 dollar seat I forked over to the folks in the JAR.

It is only Wednesday and already I am excited to go!

$45? Stand outside the arena for 10 minutes and someone will offer you a free ticket. High schools outdraw the Zips.

Technically, they're probably always running at about 90% capacity. Whole damn place only holds 5K.

I always wished we built a 7K or so seat fieldhouse and just had a near-sellout every game. Even when we have decent crowds it feels like magician night at the nursing home.

Nope on the 90%. 2K to 2,500 is more like it.

I've noticed that for MAC games they tend to wait until day of. Not sure why but I'm going to start monitoring similar conferences to see if its the same.

I just counted 135 seats scattered throughout the lower stands on both sides which remain for sale. I wouldn't consider that PLENTY of seats with backs. Throw in the upper reserve and GA seats and there are enough to handle a significant walk-up crowd for you Bobcat fans who may be thinking of attending. Really, if you are within 60 miles you should come and root on the Green and White.

These kinds of statement games (especially against Akron) are my favorite.

Can't wait to crack open a cold one on my couch and watch this one.

That's a surprising line to me because these are the kinds of road games that even good Ohio teams rarely win.
