Honest question to basketball junkies: If Bronny James were on this OHIO team, would he be our best player or just another in the rotation? He didn't light up USC when he was healthy and didn't impress in summer ball. How would that translate to here? Jason Preston seems to be able to fill the box score much more than him.

Calling all LeBron stans!

I do think he'd be a starter and most likely one of the better players in the conference. He faced top high school talent and has access to the best training in the world. Not sure about all-conference though, I'll wait to see how he does in the developmental league.

Doug Gottlieb said on his radio show a few months ago that Bronny would NOT start for the UWGB basketball team, of which he is the coach. I laughed then at his hyperbole and I laugh now.

Speaking of Preston, where's he at these days?

And definitely agree that Preston's ahead of where Bronny is. But he also should be given that he's 25 and Bronny just turned 20.

If he were on Ohio, I suspect he'd be in our starting lineup and a very strong MAC player. He was ranked 28th in his class, and while his name definitely earned him some spots, that's still a lot of potential.

Jason’s still in Salt Lake.

A year out from his heart scare, James would probably have had a much stronger season in college.

If he came to the MAC, he be playing for Akron. A somewhat sobering thought.

We haven't seen a lot of him in college or in the pros. While I think that it is safe to assume that he was only drafted because of nepotism, it's also safe to assume that he would start for UWGB and would also be one of the better players in the MAC if he's 100%.

Every mid-major team would love to have him for publicity if nothing else.

Way more than just Dad, Rich Paul and Mav Carter arguably have more pull than Dad.

Maybe we'll get an idea when we see Bronny match up with Preston tomorrow night. It's the opener for both SLC and South Bay.

So is Bronny's kid a grade schooler already ? Hopefully "grandpa" Le Bron will support the Bobcat's offer, class of 2032 !
