We're not a good team, but the talent is there. It hasn't gelled for a cornucopia of reasons, but mostly because everyone on the team is a SG.
Shooting guards that can't make. Mitchell (48% 2fg, 23% 3fg), Hunter (38%, 27%), EJ (49%, 32%), AJB (38%, 29%), Miles B (29%, 35%). Sheldon being the exception (58%, 56%).

In the end, the only thing that matters is how does this team stack up to the 1998 team.
QFT. This is the real standard.

I've been wondering this myself. I take this year's team, largely because the starting lineup of that '98 team is in their mid-to-late 40s now and I think we'll be able to wear them down physically.

I’d like to see how drastically different this team looks with a distributor at PG and a 4/5 that is even a remote threat inside.

42 shoot first guards and not one of them can consistently get others open or run an offense.

You can’t sit Hunter, but if Elmore misses time I think you gotta see what Sheldon can do running the offense. For extended periods. 25 mins a game. We’re at the point in the season where we have to shake some stuff up and see what falls out.

I dunno man. Basra Fakhir could still likely out-muscle anyone on our roster. Nick Terry vs The Wiz would be...fun. And Jim Peterson has logo range so technically he'd just have to run about 10 feet on either side of half court and chuck (that's basically all he did anyway).

I came to this thread expecting a bread basket of Dwayne Johnson highlights and y'all have left me severely disappointed.

Did you know that Basra Fakhir only averaged one less point per game over his Bobcat career than Diante Flenorl? Surprising stat of the day.

Anyone know if the LaFerla twins have any eligibility left? I mean with those electrifying guards on the wing with Big County (Andy Kanzig) roaming the paint, we are set.

Just gonna go ahead and bump this since it's the same argument we're having all over again.

Us vs the 97-98 squad - who ya got?
