I remember sitting in the Convo in 08 looking up at the retired numbers. Tommy looked at me looking up there, bounced the ball once, hoisted a shot from 26'....swish...then he looked back and said "they don't hang numbers for glue guys" and smiled. Gavin is one of those guys. All the intangibles. Writer did a good job here conveying the life of a glue guy. Love me some Gavin.

Too many people who watch hoops are enamored of monsterslamdunks and spicy celebrations and such.

The Celtics' Stevens appears to be a brilliant coach. In a timeout in a game in which the Celts were stumbling, the point of his huddle was 'Think what you can do to help your teammates.'

This kid is basically every coach's dream come true. You can't succeed without some kids like him on your team.
