What's the guess fellow Bobcatters? This guy and his backcourtmate have drawn much larger crowds than usual. The venue doesn't seem to matter.
The Sport Illustrated article on Keane should help. The ESPN highlights should help. Does anybody want to venture a semi-educated guess?

I'd love to see 10,000+, but my best guess is about 5,000+. I just don't see students caring that much about an individual player, even a national scoring leader. I hope I'm wrong.

A non-Sibs Weekend weekday evening game? I'd guess 6,500 tops.

Athens at Alexander will hurt attendance some as will the show at Mem Aud which also involves OU students too. The McKinney weather forecast isn't looking too bright either. Looking for a good home for my Mem Aud tickets.

Announced 6781 - actual - under 5000.

More people than James A Rhodes Arena can seat.

I'm guessing 5866 official.

Not sure about Swankies weather comment. Supposed to be 60 and windy.

With a 54% chance of rain. Park in the Peden lot and you won't get as wet.

Sadly, it wouldn't surprise me if the attendance was less than in 1985 when Dan Palombizio and the Ball State Cardinals came to town. Now that's a MAC blast from the past. It was in 1985 and I remember it well. He was the anywhere from the first to third leading scorer (depending upon the game) in the nation and Coach Nee had the students fired up for that one. Here's a couple of links about that season, one of which is from the LA Times Feb. 1985. Interestingly enough, in one of these links he talks about a high school game in which he played when over 8,000+ showed up. Indiana high schools gyms, now that is another story.

Remember that well. I think we kept him pretty well below his average?

I predict 7,600 announced, 6,100 in seats

Will the winner be butts in seats (BIS) or what the athletic dept. reports? I assume the dept. is using tickets sold (or are they just padding the stats)? Against 'Kron the university reported 10101.Two posters chimed in, one thinking it was 7500, the other 8000 for BIS. I'd say they were about right. For Central, I'll predict 5500 BIS, with 7000 reported.

RS Bobcat that's a good question. I remember being at the game, I remember us winning, but I can't remember if Coach Nee said let him have his points and shut the rest of the team down, or just shut him down.

I distinctly remember hearing Coach Nee respond to a question (either after the game of later in the season) concerning whether Dan Palombizio would make it in the NBA. Paraphrasing; no, no, no Danny's a good kid but he won't play in the NBA, too slow. Look for him to play in Europe and have a nice little career. Maybe some other Convo veteran of the 80s will remember if we kept him below his nation leading average.

With CMU coming to town w/ high scoring Keene, I'm reminded of another game from the Palombizio era. It was CMU and high-scoring Mel McLaughlin, who put on an offensive display on a cold winter night (those are the only details I recall). I also remember seeing Sugar McLaughlin a couple of times in the 1990s at Gus Mackers. Never competed on the same court but one of my Macker teammates joined Sugar in the Macker Hall of Fame.

What was the name of the kid from Belmont a few years back that went off in the Convo? Didn't he top 40?

Remember that game well. In his senior year, Eddie Hicks absolutely shut down Palombizio. Best Bobcat defender since 1979.

Craig Bradshaw, had 42 in the Convo a couple years back in a game we lost by 2.

It's a new arena they're building in Cincinnati.
