Im sure the fans are heartbroken over this news but my thoughts are with the young man. Im sure Mr Campbell REALLY wanted to win a MAC tourney and experience March Madnes, not being able to compete must be very frustrating.

Best wishes to ya Big Tone, i look forward to following your post Ohio career. I hope you enjoy last semester in Athens!!!

Was most likely too swollen to get a good MRI/Xray after Saturday. Swelling goes down...easier to determine the fracture.

Truly sucks. Ohio MUCH, MUCH better with AC. Will be a struggle...mentally and on-the-court to see how this team responds. 3 of next 4 on the road.

Still a lot of talent out there...but injuries like this can easily derail a season.

Never know how a team is going to respond to something like this. I have no idea.

Terrible news on a personal level for TC, and I really hope it's not the kind of chronic problem that plagued big guys like Yao and Ilguaskas. He has the talent to get a paycheck playing somewhere if he's healthy.

As for the rest of the season, I hope this doesn't make it a wilderness campaign. I guess on the bright side (or terrifying side) we'll get a good look at what's in store for 2017-2018.

Best wishes Tony, sorry about this tough break, but thanks for how you've represented OHIO University.

Thanks for a great career TC. Unfortunately, I don't see how this team without Campbell can compete for a MAC Tournament Championship. It doesn't take a brain surgeon to figure out that when you lose the MAC Player of the Year it cripples a team. Only positive is that Carter gets more experience/minutes for next year. And for those on this board who think DT can do more on the court, guess we'll find out. And of course Wadley and Dozier will pick up the slack.........oh wait.

Get ready for those 3's to fly....going to see a record number of them down the stretch. I hope this team wins the MAC Tournament and I will proudly come back here and say I was wrong!

That is weird that its broken considering that clamied to Know it was not broken. Really sucks
Depends on the fracture type and location, some can be really difficult to see on x-ray.
Yep. As a wise man once said "The foot has many bones"

Awful news. Best wishes to Tony for a full recovery. Still a lot of hoops in his future I'm hoping.

This stinks. Hopefully Tony gets back to 100%. He can definitely make a lot of money playing basketball somewhere next year.

Time for Doug Taylor and Jason Carter to step up. I have faith that they can.

So heartbroken for Tony and his teammates. TC worked hard to be in the best possible shape for his senior year and now this. I'm sure Carter, Taylor, and others will step up and fill in to the best of their ability. The experience they gain this year will certainly help us down the road.
I'm concerned that we now have so many scholarship players unable to participate/practice...Wadly, Gollon, Harley, and now Campbell. It has to make practices a little more challenging for Coach.
Let's hope this injury bug leaves the Convo for the remainder of this season.

Very sad to hear this news. I was fully expecting him to return in a few more games. Young Mr. Carter is going to have to grow up (in a basketball sense) in a hurry. I really like his basketball IQ and his hustle. I'll hope for the best -- for OHIO and for Tony going forward.

He's already grown up and is a solid candidate for discussion for FOY. He is not Tony and is not going to replace the MAC POY

Have we had any other injuries as impactful as losing Tony? I know we lost Ricardo and it hurt but I don't see it as nearly as big. Jeff Boals really hurt as well. We lost Dave Jamerson but he wasn't a Senior. I really can't think of any injury this big.

Jamerson and Boals the only two in the same ballpark that I can think of.

Boals injury derailed that team. Also, don't forget that Trent pretty much played his final year with a pulled muscle in his side I believe that didn't get a ton of press. And even with that, he was still dominant. I just remember he wasn't as flashy with dunks that year because of muscle pull.

The Season in the Wilderness was started off with the loss of PG Cory Reed at the start. Wouldn't have been contenders, but would have been marketedly better.
