Sorry .. but we've had our rough luck this year, I don't wish anyone problems... but briefly don't mind seeing Akron tripped up at home. Sad . ;)

It's better for us that Akron win right now. Kent's win tonight puts them closer to us in the seeding battle.

Did anyone see the halftime commercial on the rivalry that showed both Kant and Akron mascots tripping and goofing on a student with OSUcks gear on?

My hat is off to that effort.

Stats look like Ohio game. Cheatham has awful night (3-12 shooting, 1-7 from three). Big Dog fouls out. Zips 30-game home win streak is over.

Seems a strange game to lose for the Zips, but it is becoming somewhat par for the course. As good as Coach Dambrot is and as much talent as he has, for some reason he can't seem to get Akron to where they should be. I realize if they had won out, their NCAA tournament seeding wouldn't have improved markedly, but it might have gone up a one seed.

As it is now, not only do we see an opening, but so do some other MAC schools. Akron too must be wondering is their season going to end the way some many others have, so much upside and yet the promised land of winning an NCAA tournament game seems so elusive.

Much different than the loss to Ohio. Johnson's 4th foul came fairly late and the 5th came in the last seconds. And nobody managed to lose their minds, so it didn't get away from them.

Kent damn near found a way to lose by fouling Akron late then goobering up the inbound.

Akron was 12-1 going into that game and a projected 13-seed. These conference mandates ain't working.

We kind of needed/wanted Kent to win for seeding purposes but it was still fun to watch Kron lose.

I agree. Akron is the top seed. I would rather they hand losses to teams that are competing with Ohio for the 2nd or 3rd seeds.

Loved it. It made me want to watch the video Ohio put out in which a girl breaks up with a guy decked out in TOSU gear, saying she found someone new and "he's just better than you" and walks away with Rufus. I had it bookmarked, but YouTube says it's not there anymore. : (
