Zero points in 29 minutes. What's up with that?

I watched some of the game on WatchESPN but didn't realize he was having that bad of a night.

Miami actually did a pretty good job of crowding him and made it hard for him to get open looks. But in doing that, the lanes opened up for everyone else. You don't have to score all the time to be a threat.

That's one reason why Carter found some great looks underneath. Ohio has soooo many weapons and they couldn't guard them all.

He only took 4 shots. Kind of been his story this season. He's had games with limited shot attempts and low number of points.

Has had 9 non-double-digit games this year including duds vs. Bryant (3 pts), CSU (6 pts)...both 1-7 FGs nights....NIU (5pts), UT (5pts) on 2-6 and 2-9 shooting....Ball St (1 pt) on 0-2 FG (but he was hurt in that game)

But a goose-egg last night, while not stunning, was pretty disappointing. Wish he would hit his stride down the stretch and be a weapon in CLE. They'll need him to make a run.

Exactly. Carter's 25 points and Simmons' 21 points means someone else who can score a bunch probably isn't scoring a bunch in that particular game.

But zero points AND zero assists? From a senior starter in a game vs. Miami?

Get a grip! We won and it was a team effort. We had no reason to believe that KK would be a team player after his unceremonious departure from Mich State. There have been moments in the last 2 years when I thought he was gunning away without having a good look. However I think he has become more of an asset to the team over time and a no-point winning effort is actually an affirmation.

Agreed. He's either taken the unlimited green light away from himself of SP has. Either way, we play better when he takes his shots within the flow of the offense rather than forcing them up. I'll take a win, five rebounds, some decent passing and defense and 0-4 shooting any game the rest of the way.

I think and hope that KK will be more of an offensive threat up in Cleveland.

I think it's more that teams aren't letting him catch and shoot. They have a guy in his grill. It does take Kenny out of the game but it also gives other players a lot more room to operate.

If teams key in on KK on the perimeter, I'd rather see him go 0 for 2 than 2 for 15. If the shot isn't there, work it elsewhere. That's how Jason goes for 25.

Agree with you both here. At some point before the year ends, we'll win another game or two because Kenny gets hot.

KK should swing the ball and gets assist of fake the three take a dribble and hit the shot. He needs to be a threat that we can capitalize off of, because his guy is going to score and rebound on the other end. He is a senior, hopefully he gets hot, he was needed against Miami, but he will be needed in the tournament if a team wants to take away JC or JS.

Doesn't he already ball fake the three point shot, take the dribble, and attempt a mid-range shot?

The more he doesn't do while we continue to win, the more excited I get for next year...

didn't he reinjure his shoulder early in the year? I don't think he's 100%, physically.

Yes, and I wonder at times when you see him pass up shots that he might have taken that it flairs up on him occasionally.

+1

Glad to see we get some wisdom on BA from the Left Coast!
