This is an epic disaster. We can't go to sleep for such long stretches against shitty teams and expect to compete in Cleveland.

J-O-K-E Loss tonight. As we have shown in the last 2 years, zero knockout punch. Soft.

We can't catch Akron so I guess it really doesn't matter unless we blow a Top 4 finish.

I have to remind myself we are playing w/o Tone. And we all know the Fake Jeff M. will breakdown how deadly WMU is in the Nation and the MAC.

When you give up what seems like 2 offensive rebounds per possession, epic collapses tend to happen. And we really shot well tonight! Just a total meltdown against a bad team. Life on the road in the MAC........

Didn't listen or watch. Did the turnover bug hit them during the last four like it did in the Toledo game?

just wow. I don't know how we let that one get away. How do we let carter have two last second 3 attempts, he has proven he can't hit them

I have to agree about out coached. This is not the first time this year adjustments weren't made especially defensively. Also I question late game subs or sometimes lack there of. I do not know Coach Phillips but I do know the announcer of this game (former Western coach) had great insight and talked about what we could do continuosly to get open shots. Especially on the pick and roll when Carters shots from outside weren't dropping. I really enjoyed his commentary and what he would've done to seal the game.

Ohio gains possession with score tied in final minute and Saul sends KK to scorer's table. KK can't enter the game unless a stoppage in time, which happens with Ohio on defense. Result? Fifth foul on KK on the defensive end. Poor use of personnel switches/time outs/something on coach's part. Did Ohio not have a time out to get KK on the floor when Ohio had the ball? Otherwise, I can't see any reason on sending him to the scorer's table.

So very disappointed. Once again, a huge lead in the first half. But, once again, a complete collapse. A loss to Western Michigan, a terrible team, is really hard to understand. smh

Extremely aggravating game. I'm sure the guys are taking this one hard. I sure am, and I am violating the suggested rule of waiting after a loss to post (unofficially known as the DFC rule)

I continue to be disappointed in Simmons. All too often he wastes possessions by driving in, being forced outside and hoisting a low percentage shot. He is shooting 27% from 3 and 45% from 2...yet he has the most shot attempts on the team BY FAR. He is shooting significantly worse than last season, yet shooting it more this season. Free throw shooting also way down as are his assists.

Has he been terrible? No, of course not. But he hasn't been even close to what I was expecting from him after his sophomore season. I know he gives it his all and I don't mean to pile on the guy, but he has to be discussed for why the season is falling short of expectations.

As Jaaron was getting a screen for Carter up top the announcer kept saying instead of flaring out why does he not get inside. Two times it worked for those two, and then five other times in the second half there was zero penetration and instead we settled for a three off the pop. I understand not clogging the way for Jaaron but have him attack the hoop and our big goes to opposite block, if not you should have a shooter like Dartis or Kenny in the corner for the three if they read the paint.

So when we lose a game like that, it's natural we want to place some blame and I hate to say it, but Saul Philips can't let his team get into a finish like that!

And twice in the second half Dartis fouled the WMU jump shooter, one on a 3 attempt, giving WMU 5 foul shots.

Agreed. There will come a day when Jason Carter will regularly produce on the perimeter. That day is NOT today. How far does the percentage have to fall before this is realized, because after tonight he is under 22%. And from my impression, most of his attempts have been very good looks.

That's why he gets paid the big bucks! Unfortunately, it was the same bad coaching against EMU, WKU, and Iona.
