Congrats to JS! I bet we see Dartis move up to 3rd or 2nd team next year.

Weathers on the 3rd team while Carter isn't even on honorable mention could be a sign of things to come on the frosh of the year results.

I can totally see Jason still getting Frosh of Year. Weathers represents Miami as an Honorable Mention and he's it. Darty got OUr Honorable Mention spot. I think Weathers will get FOY but Carter will be POY and First Team while Weathers is still on 2nd Team. Who knows..if Cooper leaves Weathers boys may make a break for another school!

Always thought that there were a lot of similarities with Jordan's game and Nick Kellogg. Just ran the numbers for their first two seasons:

Nick
2 pt FG - 42-94 44.7%
3 pt FG - 149-346 43.1%
Total FG - 191-440
FT - 73-89 82.0%

Jordan
2 pt FG - 55-120 45.8%
3 pt FG - 148-316 46.8%
Total FG - 203-436
FT - 113-129 87.6%

It's even closer than I was expecting. Jordan puts on the floor a lot more than Nick did early in his career but I think that's more a factor of the players surrounding him. Nick had a bunch of players that would take it to the hole his first three seasons so there wasn't a huge need for him to do it. That changed his Senior season when everybody left him. He took more two point FGs his last year than he did his first three season combined and more than doubled his career high for FT's attempted.

We have one of the best defenses in the league statistically, if not the best defense in the league period, and not one guy makes the All-Defensive team. I was curious to see if Block or Laster might land there. Team defense better than individual defense I guess though.

Nice comparison between Nick and Jordan (46.8% on over 300 3-shots taken is not a bad %).

Nick really blossomed his senior year.

Yep team defense is. We really don't have a lock down guy.
