Since they round the 30% up - it's actually 44 games we'd have to play for TC to meet the requirement.
44*0.3 = 13.2 (rounded up to 14)
43*0.3 = 12.9 (rounded up to 13)
Now maybe he can argue that number down a game since he only played 3 minutes against Buffalo before the injury, but even then that would only drop the requirement from 44 team games to 41.
So basically, it ain't happening. He gone.
nm the below only gets us to 40 games. My bad.
There is another way to get to 41 games:
1. lose to Fiami [really hate that thought],
2. earn the 5 seed,
3. win MAC tourney,
4. be assigned 1st round NCAA tourney game, and
5. win in the Big Dance until at least the Championship game.
Then. we argue that the 3 minutes of AC's play in his 14th game should be ignored. By then, the MAC will be so busy counting the cash inflow from Ohio's tournament run that those 3 minutes will be easy to ignore. Also, due to an amazing increase in March Madness viewership (due to Ohio's run of course), the NCAA committee is also blinded by the $$$ and follows suit. Bada-Bing.
