Didn't get a chance to see any of it but looking at the team stats, it seemed to be a fairly high level of play from both teams. Rebounding was even, shooting percentages from all areas was pretty good, low number of turns for each team.

Good for coach and kron. Those 3s will make some highlight reels just based on distance alone. Though i have quite a few friends at UH and have always liked the program going clear back to the Alcindor game in the dome there is never a time i don't love seeing that cheater get beat

The good version of Akron showed up. Lots of inside-out action with Johnson either waiting for the double and finding the open man or taking it to the rim one-on-one. A seven seed in the NIT seems unduly harsh for a team that good, and they proved it.

I saw the game. Two good teams played very hard ad very well. Glad to see Akron pull it out.

I do too. I won't be truly cheering for them from the couch or a bar stool, but it would be cool to see them end up at MSG.

Agreed, Jeff. Coach Dambrot and his team kept their collective cool. When Houston went up by 6 in the closing minutes, I expected them to beat the 8-pt spread. But to the Zips' credit, they remained poised.
