ETSU has tons of transfers. He forgot to mention that about them. Five from the juco ranks. Two from the Big Ten. One from Wichita State. Are those transfers somehow NOT transfers??

Kent State has 6 transfers of various types. FGCU has transfers from: Pitt, Texas Tech, VCU, Miami/VCU, Tulane, UNLV, Michigan and a juco.

Where is the outrage over teams NOT considered P5 living off transfers?

The transfer road is a two way street. It may be helping the "Cinderella" teams more than the Kentucky/Kansas/UCLA/Duke bunch who get 4 and 5 star guys right out of high school.

I think the outrage is High Major D1 programs actively recruiting from other D1 programs. Unless I'm mistaken, that's against NCAA rules. Enforcing that assuming it is, and changing the Grad Transfer rule to be the same as for anyone else is all I would change. Of course I know it won't change.

Edit - also, I am assuming the majority of the guys on various schools you referred to, unless they've come from a JUCO, have sat out the one year.

The thing is, is that it is not hard to actively recruit these kind of players. Family members with the "know-it-all" uncle tend to be these types.

There's no outrage because typically transfers at mid-majors are transfer downs who leave their program because they aren't playing a lot and want more playing time.

The big schools have transfer ups where they are essentially recruiting good players from smaller schools. Similar to what Tennessee and Baylor tried to do to DJ Cooper.

Let's be honest, our last few best years were due to the emergence of transfers. Walt and Jon Smith in the Groce years and Jaaron and Kenny now.
