All things considered I think that is a pretty solid place to be!
I think it is fair to say that collective expectations have been higher for basketball than football historically. But football has been keeping up their end of the bargain under Frank by and large and is in the best shape it has been since probably the late 60s in terms of sustained success.
When I was a student we would have been 100+ on this scale with whatever you want to call what Knorr put out on the football field plus O'Shea have losing records in years 2 and 3 of his time at the helm. My senior year-the 03-04 season-I believe was the worst won-loss record the Bobcats have totaled in a few decades.

In the "beat a dead horse" department...look at where WKU and MTSU ended up.
This could also go in the MAC's "woulda/coulda/shoulda" file but I understand if they balked about the "academics" of WKU which had an acceptance rate of 95% around that time iirc.
