His current focus at Duquesne

Says he was fired for racial slur at CMU. Maybe old news, but first I've heard of it.

Interesting that his father played for the Dukes. I wonder if he might have been on the Iron Dukes, who OHIO beat in the 1941 NIT first round by a score of 55-40.

Good story on the past at CMU re: Dambrot. Definitely puts it in context of what happened. Made no excuses, but acknowledged the way it happened.

I remember reading that his dad played in the late 40s, maybe 1950. He is 58, so his dad would have been born around 1920 to play on that team.

My math ain't that bad.

If his dad was on the 54 team, IIR the Dakich interview, as a senior that makes him about 85 or 86 based on what month he was born. That makes him born in the Depression about 32' or so.

Okay. He was about a decade too young for the '41 team. I just thought it possible, but I obviously didn't do the math. Thanks, guys.
