gosh they do a terrible job of publicizing this! I get emails about other stuff but never one about the caravan...

Should be on front page of athletic website.

Deeply disappointed to be out of town for the Cleveland event. I'll look forward to updates from attendees of these. For those who have not gone before, it's well worth the effort. A great time with awesome insights from the staff and all the one-on-one time a fan could ask for.

I am glad others are receiving notifications. But if they're missing me, they're missing others. No notification on website, where it should be the first thing mentioned. I get an email today about equipment sale, but nothing about the Columbus event.

I agree, though I never made it to one of those because they were during the day during the week.

Glad to hear it. It's a fantastic event. I look forward to reading new thoughts added to what we heard last night in Columbus, from you and other Cincy attendees.

Since the Lancaster caravan stop is tonight, I'm hoping we'll have some new thoughts on Jaaron's departure, and Saul thoughts on Kirk and Mickle. Anyone going?

EDIT: I don't know how to embed it, but the video is up from the Caravan last night -- https://www.facebook.com/OhioBobcatClub /

There's some insight on Doug Taylor in there worth hearing.

Interesting, Saul said they were dangerously close to a home and home with Dayton. Dates didn't work as it was during Ohio's Finals week. Do have Iona and WKU coming to the Convo.

thanks for posting Ted. Interesting to hear Saul drop a nugget about some "marquee matchup" on the horizon.

I also did not know Doug Taylor played with a broken wrist.

I hope Saul's optimism is well founded. He could sell ice to the Eskimos.

At the Lancaster caravan Coach spoke of many players and their huge potential. Not a word about Ellis Dozier. Does anybody know what's up with him?

At the Columbus stop (which now seems like it was many months ago), Saul did not mention Dozier until he was asked. He had good words to say about his work ethic but that was about it.

I've gone to several of these events, and while I am no amateur psychologist, sometimes you can read between the lines. When Saul doesn't talk about a kid, he's not really counting on the kid.

In Cbus last year, he could not stop talking about Simmons. This year in Cbus, he did not mention Simmons and this was three weeks before he announced he was leaving.

Last year, he did not bring up Wadley's name until asked.

Using that yardstick, it appears to me he expects little from Dozier this year.

It's clear to me he DOES expect Doug Taylor to be improved.

I like the way you read in between the lines here. Simple observation will show that Dozier was recruited over, in the span of two classes, by four different guys. He's end of the bench unless he surprises. I was a cheerleader for him getting minutes last year, but only because the need for a healthy body to give a few fouls was there. This year, I won't be calling for that unless something changes. Along with that, the excitement he has for BVP parallels the excited tone he spoke of Carter last year. That's encouraging for me.

The excitement shown for Kirk and Butler is also very encouraging. I think this will be a darn good group by the time February rolls around and everyone has developed into their niche and role.

Just bumping. Hoping for a great turnout in Dayton tonight. Fox & Hound in Beavercreek from 6-8 PM. As always, I look forward to meeting any fellow BAers in attendance.
