Both Weathers boys leaving Miami. Xavier and NKU according to WLW.
This could be addition by subtraction. These guys seem to need major altitude adjustments from what I witnessed.
Basically their two leading scorers (AS FRESHMEN) addition by subtraction? Is this real-life?

I would say those two were about Miami's only hope leading into this season.

I would take a 6'9' Flomo over a 7'0" Jason Terry. We have to identify TALENT and successfully recruit talented players.
I would take either.

That is kind of a slap in the face of Dambrot isn't it for Williams to go to Bobby Mo? Right down the street. I don't know..do they play each other?
His younger brother will be a freshman at Robert Morris this season, and they wanted to play together.

I'm gonna back off this a bit.. Got some feedback by phone that these two do have some attitude issues on the team. So maybe it'll be in Miami's interest to take the hit and move on without them.

Two other freshmen also have asked to be released as well. Hope new coach is a good recruiter.

I will plead confusion from OCF's statement. I just didn't think there's any chance the twins would be a very good fit at Colorado State, Wyoming, or UNM, even though he thinks they need a major altitude adjustment. ;)

I read something that said Michael was considering X, while Marcus was considering NKU.

Wright State's best player Mark Alstork, formerly of Ball State is transferring.

He has one year left and should be immediately eligible.
This would be an absolutely fantastic get, unfortunately his goal is the NBA (he declared but didn't hire an agent) He asked for his WSU release in the event that he wants to come back to school - he'll be looking for a P5 spot (again with hopes of NBA next year). Currently considering Michigan.

Shame. He'd be a perfect fit next year to be our starting SF IMO.

Starting SF?

The games he played here at balls he played the shooting guard our handled the ball. Not sure what he did for donlon at Wright

Listed at 6 5 but that is stretching out a little in my eyes

Pretty sure he and js are good friends back to be

Yeah he played the 2 mostly this year for Nagy as well. I just said SF because I don't think he'd push Dartis to the bench. More likely we'd go with a 3 guard lineup of Simmons/Dartis/Alstork with Block to the bench.

Either way it's moot. He's not coming here.

Funny that it hits here an hour or 2/4 before things show up over there

They are going to have to start filling spots.

Jokes about ads in the student paper but JG is pretty good at finding talent. Has the spring season to find some guys, contacts to find transfers and connections.

He came here in July. That is a lot different than April in a recruiting cycle. I am no where near as worried about who will be on the floor as they are.

Wisconsin Senior Jordan Hill is transferring for grad season. He was originally recruited by Bo Ryan of course. Maybe there's a connection there.

Wow, by my count that leaves them with Jimond Ivey, Daniel Utomi and Emmanuel Olajakpoke and that's it.

Van, I think there are a couple more, but your point still remains, they've lost the majority of their scholarship players. Other guys on the roster appear to be Ty Dalton and Aaron Jackson. Craig Eubanks shows on Verbal Commits as a walk-on, but is on the roster. I'm not sure about him.

Verbal Commits also shows two guys who have signed LOI's that are still committed as well. Altogether, I look at them and see at least 6 open scholarships right now.

Missed Jackson. Didn't include Dalton and Eubanks because I was mostly referring to guys with experience coming back. Either way Groce is walking into a tough situation. He's almost certainly going to have to go heavy on JUCOs to start or have a Wilderness Campaign season like we did in 1998.
