Anyone see this in recent sports news ?? How is this not even mentioned in a news release out of the Convo? Maybe the best Bobcat teams ever? Someone is asleep at the wheel to have missed this event in Columbus.

I have attended 3 or 4 of these events. One of the best banquets held The two Bobcat BB teams The teams from '63-' 64 and '64-65 were inducted into the H O F I think these years are correct
Ass't Coach Dale Bandy flew in from Texas, two of the players flew in from California. There were approximately 15 -17 loyal Bobcats who were inducted
The program had ads placed by the schools honored
Each school had fans- spouses there to see the award

NO OHIO UNIVERSITY OFFICAL MEMBER FROM OUR ATHLETIC WAS THERE
The worst thing was

NO AD WAS PLACED IN THS PROGRAM----- the excuse given by the Convo was " we don't have the $$ in our budget "

This was a HORRIBLE way to Stand Up And Cheer

I can only hope that MANY people working in the Convo read both of these messages

One of our head coaches told one of the honored players that " he would have paid for the ad himself but the programs had already been printed.
Thanks Coach- U know who you are - other Convo bosses should be ashamed

No ad was placed due to budget restraints! Seriously? IF the powers to be could at least give a heads up to these type situations I'm certain there are enough BA'ers that we could do a GoFundMe crusade and avoid outright embarrassments like this.

My source tells me they knew in plenty of time. The request was sent down the food chain and that is where the " the no $$ "
Statement came from
This request should have gotten a YES
At the top- I know a couple of dozen local Bobcats
Will send NO $$ in from now one- I
am in that group

If we don't have enough money in our budget to send out a press release and advertise and get the word out for an event like this....then we are in a WHOLE MESS of trouble. Like, time to cut jobs and athletic programs trouble.
