In the Blue Ribbon College Basketball Yearbook, Buffalo coach Nate Oats is lauding his own player, Nick Perkins, and Jason Carter crashes the conversation! Said Oats: "To me, he's the best big in the league--he and Jason Carter of Ohio."

That's high praise right there for Jason from someone who coaches against him. Still, Oats' assessment of Perkins and Carter didn't help land either one on Blue Ribbon's All-MAC team. Nevertheless, Blue Ribbon is a quality publication I highly recommend; I've purchased it yearly dating back to when Danny Nee coached Ohio in the 1980s.
