Marcus Keene will be entering the NBA Draft. The Chips are losing him and Braylon Rayson, but it's a possibility they saw this coming a while ago, they're recruiting PG heavily for next year and the year after and have two JUCOs offers out there as well.

http://www.verbalcommits.com/schools/central-michigan

And the transfer wheel is already starting to spin. Bowling Green losing two players, Rasheed Worrell and Malik Hluchoweckyj.

That's too bad because Keene is exactly the type of exciting player the MAC needs right now.

I may speak for about a dozen people when I say I'm happy to see Malik transfer.

I agree. I'm not an NBA scout, but is he even a legit prospect at this point? Or is he simply testing the waters in the way Tony did a year ago?

I'm not a scout but I am thinking no way 1st round and probably not 2nd round either. Should have a good career overseas though.

Kay Felder is bouncing back and forth between the Cavs roster and the D League team Canton Charge. Felder is the better all-around player, but they have the same body type. NBA teams love a guy who can score, and Keene can certainly do that. Someone will give him a look in the D League probably.

I hope he sticks around.. He lit us up but he's good for the MAC. Although I don't know if his stock could get much hotter than it is now.

I've got no idea how possible an NBA future is at 5-7. NBA height seems to be going up not down.

Buffalo getting Mizzou transfer/kicked off team for academic reasons PG Wes Clark. Won't be eligible next year for the Bulls until halfway through the season but I expect he'll have an immediate impact.

http://www.ubbullrun.com/buffalo-basketball/2017/2/7/1454...

Guy had BIG offers out of high school: Xavier, Creighton, USC, San Diego State, Providence, Illinois, Iowa State, Dayton, among others. Will be interesting to see how it shakes out with him. Still don't understand how/why he chose to wait an entire year to change schools, knowing that he'd have the year-in-residency requirement of a transfer to complete. All of that to play a half a season of basketball.

Another Missouri transfer, Willie Jackson, is going to Toledo. He's a Cleveland native, so this seems to make a lot of sense.

http://www.cleveland.com/sports/college/index.ssf/2017/01...

Had a lot of big offers out of high school, including Iowa State, Wisconsin and Iowa among others.

Thomas Wilder from WMU has declared for the draft as well.

My guess is both he and Keene won't hire an agent and will be back like Tony last year.

you know if those are because Cuonzo was hired? Wonder what the academic standards are at Buff....some here will note the athleticism that we lack as he is an "a fa lete" of the highest order. Interesting as well is the old conversation of how we get those guys in here if he does not make the grade at the institution where the " Missouri’s Men’s Basketball team had the second-worst APR score last year at 941. The NCAA sanctions penalties for teams with scores below 930" Hard to get those guys Akron/Buffs and others in our league can take. Those here that hold Ohio Degrees can ponder if they would be equally as happy if YOU held degrees from Kron, BG, Buff.

He is a former 4 star so we have our hands full with a loaded Buffalo in the conference. Oates was his former coach. Hope he can get him straight and on track. Still 37% shooter means he will take a LOT of shots that we can rebound. Compare that to a 2012 PG that shot 7% lower and 10% lower at the FT line. I think they got a difference maker.

Sounds like they've added a couple good ones this year, plus Bertram will be a RS Frosh. They'll be good. My question is, when is Clark eligible? The beginning of winter/spring semester? That means he misses all of November and December, and maybe the first couple conference games?

From the looks of it, both of these Mizzou guys decided to transfer before the Cuonzo hire was made. Clark left Mizzou LAST February, which makes his decision to not enroll at Buffalo until now even more curious. He could have played an entire 2017-18 season had he enrolled earlier.

Jackson decided in January of this year. He probably saw the writing on the wall and made the decision before sh*t hit the fan.

Article says midway but also says December. So a little bit before MAC play?

Strange. Maybe he was sitting at home and Oates threw him a life preserver. Maybe Buffs did not have one to give till now. Stories are fascinating eh? Wonder if he has been in the gym the entire time? I am sure if he is successful there will be stories about "his journey"

The thing with Cuonzo, he's going to put his stamp on that Missouri program in a hurry. I will be intrigued to see how this one plays out.

It will be interesting. East St Louis Lincoln guy along with Laphonso Ellis that were downstate(IL) twice bringing fame home to a really bad part of town. Should serve well in recruiting St Louis basketball hotbed for sure...along with his Purdue fame both on the court and on the sidelines. Tap into areas that will benefit Mizzou. Braggin Rights game with 2 new coaches should be interesting

Losing Highsmith is big. Of all their returning players next year he played the most minutes on the team.

Porter also had a big role before being suspended earlier this year.

That is huge. Porter and Wilson were tough and Highsmith was a senior leader. Toss in the loss of Maric and Armstead and the coach is dead in the water. BTW, I would take Highsmith as a grad transfer :)
