Can't believe that Jason Carter didn't make the all-MAC's first or second team in Lindy's College Basketball publication. His name was nowhere to be found. Very surprising. Jordan Dartis was a first-team selection, though.

I'm not a buyer or follower of Lindy's, but is it possible that the writers are just lazy when it comes to mid-major's and list primarily Jr's and Sr's?

I forgot to start it with the word "optimistic yet reserved."

I was merely smiling at Alan's comment. :)

Based on past posting history, I think you'd fit the user ID "The Optimist's long lost mentor", or something like that. Regardless, I'd say it's better to be more optimistic than pessimistic.

Is it really that much of a reach to predict we will finish one spot higher than what Blue Ribbon predicts? Buffalo has many of the same question marks we do. And personally I think it's more likely that Jason Carter makes 1st team than Jordan Dartis just because of their overall mentality.

I agree on Carter vs Dartis. I think most of these publications, just like many league voters, tend to heavily favor Juniors and Seniors.

Would love to see Jordan make that same leap this year that Nick Kellogg made his Senior year.

as far as comps go Dartis and Nick is pretty strong, in my opinion. ive thought that for a while.

now if Kirk can comp with Fears we might have something!

and Carter is every bit a first team MAC player. mayyyyyybe 2nd team. leaving him off both is foolish.

Dartis stats could skyrocket w/o Simmons taking over the game H2 every game TY

I agree that we need to play the season before we select all conference teams.

It would be pretty dull around here if that's the benchmark for discussions on these boards. Does that mean we get rid of all predictive threads and only discuss what has already transpired?
