I like this one - especially since I was in the room when it was filmed

This part of the movie makes me happy. The next 5 minutes of "lost" footage makes me extremely sad. It's tough to watch us completely turn back into the lowly 13 seed in overtime. What a great run that team.

Wait, now that I'm thinking about that team it makes me despise Jim Christian even more because he took THAT SAME TEAM and got trounced by Kron!!!!!!

Now I'm super sad :)

Does 8 Crazy Nights count as a basketball movie? Is that technical foul?!

I was bound to the couch for about a month in 2016 to recover from a significant operation. Stumbled on either Netflix or Amazon Prime a movie about the childhood/high school career of Pistol Pete Maravich called The Pistol: The Birth of a Legend. It was fairly low budget but was pretty enjoyable and learned some new things about his life/background. Gave a pretty stark reminder of how bad things used to be in the Jim Crow South when it came to high school athletics, too.

There's also on Netflix an interesting documentary about Satnam Singh Bhamara and his voyage from a village in India to the NBA by way of IMG Academy.

It's called One in a Billion.

Another eye opener to how nice things are in the U.S. in terms of athletic facilities at least.
