That's fine. No pressure. Last year we entered with a ton of pressure and as we played better and better without Tone we added more pressure. I like this time with a group of returners that resembles, to me, Christian's second team. Guys like TJ, Rico, Nick, Wilkins and Jon. Instead we have Gavin, Doug, Dartis, Laster and Carter. Toss in the experience of Mickle and more solid looking freshmen than that group I mentioned, we can win 20 plus like they did.

Ha! Yeah ... not exactly chalk full of info. I was more surprised that Ohio was projected 6th in the MAC. Thought that was low .... but I guess the Simmons loss scares them off.

But they could be right ... you never know how these newcomers will play.

If you want to talk about pressure, if we have a bad year in Saul's fourth year and his record drops further below his salary - 572 - there will be lots of pressure.

Would that pressure be more than, or equal to the pressure on Frank? I guess I don't see the "lots of pressure" thing yet for Saul if there isn't big pressure on Frank.

I would say more because of our past success in basketball, the expectations are much higher. No one is leaving basketball games at halftime.

That's a fair point, and I agree, far fewer leave basketball games early.

And, to be honest, even on the best day, far fewer attend basketball games in the first place.

Obviously part of that is capacity, the other is the number of games played at home - 16+ vs 7 typically.

And the other part is that most Americans prefer football to basketball. It's a much more watched sport on both the collegiate and the professional level. Just look at the audience ratings sometime. It has changed some in recent years, and the movement may be in the direction of basketball, but it has a long way to go.
