The truth is that we need to recruit better players or switch to a zone because we cannot defend athletic teams. We also need to run more to get some easy shots. We also need to stop lying and saying that we have the smartest team. We don't go after the best players and then we make excuses for it. We still can be good this year, we have two guys that can create there own shots and we have pieces like Dartis and Gollon that can rain down three's. Block needs to hit some shots, he was aggressive early on and now he has fizzled out. DT has not been developed at all. He should at least be a dominant rebounder in the MAC, especially after the exodus of bigs in our league from last year. Dozier has been wasted. Laster probably needs to force the action sometimes, he is our best athlete and he shoots at a very high percentage. We almost turned him into the best bench warmer in D1 basketball. Let's go Cats

RE: defense

Ranks

The Good
52nd in 3pt FG % defense
10th in fewest fouls per game

The OK
105th in FG % defense
110th in steals per game
128th turnovers forced per game

The Bad
253rd in rebounding margin
253rd in opponents points per game

Stat I would really like to see: second chance points given up.

Because Ohio seems to be doing relatively well at forcing tough shots, but the scoring given up and the small scoring margin added to the poor rebounding margin makes me think opponents are getting a TON of second and third looks.
