This really isn't the place for it, but we've been talking a little about recruits in this thread, so here's this:

On the coaches show last night (listened on demand this morning), Young Mr. Zach Butler mentioned he chose Ohio over Wichita State, VCU, and Indiana State. While two of those aren't high majors (sorry, but WSU essentially is), they are good offers to have beaten out for the Saul staff.
those offers are inflated, the kid got injured and we was his only offer. He didn't even play for most of the summer. he never visited those schools, just like BVP's memphis offer. http://www.espn.com/colleges/basketball/recruiting/school...

So let me get this straight, you would rather take the word of the ESPN recruiting page over the words of the player himself, on a recorded for all to hear radio program?

Also, there's this, which while I'm sure isn't completely accurate, suggests Ohio was FAR from his only offer:

It came straight from the player's mouth! How can you put an ESPN link out there and think that has more credibility than what the player...you know...actually said and who he was actually recruited by. You can't trust any of the recruiting sites; 247, VC, ESPN, Rivals, Scout, whatever to a full 100% certainty.

Sorry, but I'll believe Zach if he said he chose Ohio over those schools. Why would he lie about it?

Players always exaggerate, nobody wants to say that they had no offers. Wichita got the 9th best JUCO player and the 47th best shooting guard. Zach had offers before his injury. https://scout.com/military/warrior/Article/Dorman-Freshma...
Afterwards his list diminished.
