One of the greatest sports broadcasters of all time. He was active in broadcasting at the time of his death. Died of an apparent heart attack while waiting near his front door with his bags packed for a shuttle to take him to the San Diego airport. Plan was to fly to Boston where his wife and family were waiting for him to celebrate Christmas. He will be greatly missed.

Amen. I think one of the all time best and somewhat underrated. Also, a CMU grad.

And I remember Herb Deromedi very well from back in the day.
