George, you're almost getting Monroe-like with your feelings toward Saul. What up?

Does 0.5 give wiggle room to count moral victories?

Yeah - put a similar poll up for any other coach in the MAC or any other mid major program coach. Then see how they whine when after that coach gets 1 or 2 big dance wins then vacates for the P5 big $'s and proceeds to crash and burn....(their own career and the MAC or other mid major school they left for the big $)

How many wins does the entire conference have in the NCAA Tournament in the last 20 years? 3 for Ohio. Who was it before that and when? If you're only happy with NCAA tournament wins it's going to be a rough ride.

If we win the MAC Tourney we are most likely awarded a chance to play a Top 25 team and will be a huge underdog. We know it's not impossible and as we continue to build a team with shooters at all 5 positions that gives us a chance to knock off anyone when shooting it well, so I'm saying there's a chance.

I think a more telling poll would be....How many MAC Tournament titles will Saul Ball produce.

Kent in 2002 with first yr. coach Stan Heath advanced to the Elite 8. So if a MAC coach wins a game or two in the NCAA in March, it is likely they are leaving for greener pastures. Anyone know where Stan is coaching now?

Wasn't Heath the coach for USF when Ohio beat them to advance to the Sweet 16 in 2012? Maybe I'm mistaken in that recollection.

Good take...or how many MAC Tournament Championship games will Saul coach in?

That's a much more appropriate question ...

MAC "only" has 69 all-time NCAA Tournament appearances

30-73 All-Time NCAA Record

Ohio has the most wins at 7 (Miami has 6)

Since 2004, the MAC has 3 NCAA tourney wins ... all by Ohio

CMU won 1 in 2003
Kent won 4 in 2001 & 2002
