Looks like the teeth of the non-conf schedule. @Maryland, WKU, @Marshall. Marshall just whacked Akron a few days ago. WKU played tight with Nova and beat Purdue. Maryland is Maryland. What's your guess on how we come out of this stretch?

I hate to be pessimistic, but I think 1-2 is pretty likely. I'd be happy with 2-1.

Honestly I wouldn't be upset with 1-2. I'd be very pleased with 2-1. A lot depends on how they look, we could go 0-3 but battle to the end and I wouldn't be upset.

I just want the team to stay healthy through those 3 games and enter the MAC season as healthy as possible.

Agreed here. Depends on who steps on the floor for the 'Cats too.

I'm not concerned with W/L that much in this stretch. We're going to take some punches in these games. If we go 0-3, did we fight until the end like we did against Clemson, or did we fold when the going got tough.

I think that's exactly how I feel. Just want to see continued improvement and just get ready for January. Each game presents unique challenges and winning any of them is going to be tough. Want to see if we can do something in the Marshal game that we weren't able to do last year which is stay disciplined.

If we can take a lead in any of the games, even 2-0, I think we can moral it out. I just want them to be Ford tough.

I think 0-3 is likely.

I think 1-2 is reasonable.

I think 2-1 would be a huge feather in their cap considering the short roster/injuries they're dealing with.

The first thing that comes up when I googled "moral it out" is....

Odd for a basketball thread.

Being serious now, I'm with Mark on this thought, particularly Carter. That, plus playing solid D, and seeing continued development from the young guys that will provide important depth for the rest of the season (Gollon, Butler, BVP, Gareri).

Honestly, as a fan right now, the end result is less important. Now, if we saw a healthy squad from the start of the season to now, I'd expect to beat WKU at home and Marshall on the road.

And compete with Maryland.

Once injuries mounted, non conference essentially became preseason to me.

Fun to see them play, but results meaningless really.

Everything geared towards top four seed & three March nights in Cleveland

Seriously though, I hope that we win two out of three of the games. I hope our team plays with no fear and we get a couple of upsets. I hope that Jason is able to get his feet wet and contribute. These are very athletic teams so we will need to lock down on defense and box out, allowing second shots will kill us. The only thing that would disappoint me is if we played nervous or played with fear. I want our team to feel confident before heading into our MAC schedule. Go Cats
