10 seconds left in the MAC Finals game. NCAA berth on the line. Bobcats down by 1 with the ball. Who do you want to take the final shot?

You gotta have more than 4 seconds if he's going to do it.

tick-tick-tick-tick .... dribble-dribble-dribble-dribble.....

Today? Mike Laster.

Historically? Can I say Tommy Freeman and not Jamerson or Trent?

One of the points of this poll is that we really have a balanced scoring attack. I think we've had five different players as the team's highest scorers in a game this season. So the shots can come from anywhere.

I voted for Laster, but since some are giving historical answers, I'll say the all-time best two -- who were on the same team -- would be Bill Whaley and Bunk Adams. You get 10 old timer points if you even know who those guys were. Alan Swank isn't even old enough. Ulysses S. Grant would be! :-)

Not only was Bill a good player but he was one of the best high school coaches in the area.
Sadly he was in a very bad car accident in the late 80's that probably shortened his life by many years.

This is a very good point. It seems lately that when we've been in a last second shot situation, the shooter is rarely open. Laster certainly wasn't against Kent.
