Dartis and Block are getting open shots and missing. The ball movement can always improve and that will come as the team chemistry improves. Dartis and Block have to find their stoke. Both have had it at times, they just have to get more consistent. Thank God for Kirk and Laster's ability to create their own offense and shoot at a decent percentage. With all of the injuries and inconsistency it could be a lot worst for the Cats. Dartis got hot recently, I hope that he can find his range going forward.
+1
I think this is a good assessment. Part of the issue has been that neither player is at 100 percent physically. Dartis has had his hip injury that he's playing through, and I understand that Block has been fighting some kind of an illness. Hopefully, they'll both be back at full strength soon.
If Gavin is fighting illness, and he's this ineffective right now (see the numbers), sit him, start someone else, and give Gavin 20 min/g for a few games. When he's on his game, he's vitally important to this team. He's in a pro-longed slump or struggle right now. For the team, maybe getting Jimmy G in there more often would be good right now.
Agree! This would be a coaching move. This is an easy observation but likely Saul will not alter the plan.
In fairness - I'm not at practice, or anywhere else, so I don't know the whole situation. I watch/listen to all the games. The numbers, of late, aren't good. But he also brings more to the table than simply FG%. I like Gavin's game a ton, but I think if a guy is struggling a little physically, maybe lighten the work load for a week, see what happens.
