Butler needs more playing time. Hope the coach is willing to cut minutes of other players for the sake of the team. Need guard depth any way, along with better shooting, less traveling and turnovers.

Butler needs minutes to catch up to the speed of the game and get his confidence. He will be a good one over time.

I think that the poster accidentally posted on the wrong forum. If he says something koolaid green positive let’s contiribute something positive. If he suggest that we need to improve something, let’s pounce on him.

Guard depth - we have 2 point guards plus Dartis, Block, Laster and Gollon. How many more guards does one team need?

It's been fifteen to twenty years since we had our last two-sport athlete in both basketball and football.  Looking forward to the two-back set featuring P. White and Butler next fall! smiley winkcool

Need "confident" guards that dribble without traveling and pass without turnovers. Athleticism helps.
Block looks lie his assignment is to be physical under the basket and get the ball to the open guard.

Butler will be a fine guard - just a freshman - needs to work on his technique when he pulls to the left. On the bright side, he has played this season with zero procedure calls. Not sure if he has given up any sacks.

I think he'd have been a monster TE. It certainly would've been something to see.

Antonio Gates in college: 6'4" 240lb

Antonio (Tony) Campbell size: 6'9" 245lb

That would be a helluva target for any Bobcat QB.

I agree, he would have been an awesome QB. He was a QB in high school. He had an awesome full court pass on the basketball court.

I stand by my earlier statement. Some players do not dribble without a turnover, or shoot without a miss.

Butler was 3/7 from the floor last night. Who didn't miss? Or is 3/7 the new 100%?

I don’t think anyone asked for another player to be benched for his minutes to go up . He hasn’t been given a chance to get into a rhythm regardless of how bad others have played at times . The fans have no clue what Butler can really do because he’s been held back . Practice statistics and otther metrics don’t win games for a team players do . I’ve seen players on this team get 30-40 regardless of how they perform with 2 rebs , 1 assts , 5 turnovers , and 6 points or less in games consistently. I’m sure given the same oportunity stats won’t be any worse . Butler is playing like a robot and is only allowed to run the offense and not given the opportunity to shoot or just do anything with the fear of being pulled quickly . Butler has been nothing but a good teammate ,he’s a player not a cheerleader. If the others should play so much then why are the statistics that’s been compiled in practice not translated to the games ?
