In +5.

I understand that @PeteTheBobcat will be headed to Millett with Mini-Pete and that DFC may make a trek.

Let's remind the folks in Oxford that Green > Red.

I like the direction M$%^i is heading and I'm confident that the rivalry will be what it should be in short order.

My tiebreaker knowledge is lacking this year. If we beat Miami and BG loses would we jump them for the 8 seed? Difference between a home and road game with this team would be huge.

Russ indicated Saturday we had no chance at a home game. I hadn't followed the possibilities but went in to the BGSUcks Games thinking we had a shot (based on a couple of comments from this board).

Never been to Oxford. If you had an hour pregame, where would you go?

I always run into Ohio fans at Skipper's (http://www.skipperstopdeck.com/). They have gyros and deep fry anything that doesn't move. Two of my favorite things. Some RedHawks I know favor Mac and Joe's (http://www.macandjoes.com/).

Steinkeller. German style restaurant, a little hidden in a basement. You ever see "Inglourious Basterds?"

I served an 18 month sentence living in Oxford. the only bar worth a damn is the "secret" Circle Bar. The best part is that it's a townie bar so you don't have to see any Fiami students: http://www.steinkellercircle.com/circle-bar-oxford-ohio.html

Edit: funny that three of the places mentioned are owned by the same group.

The MAC tiebreakers are head-to-head and winning percentage against the other teams as they are ranked top to bottom. We split with BG, so that brings up the second tiebreaker. Both teams would have a .000 winning percentage against #1 Buffalo (BG plays them tonight and would have to lose in order for us to be able to tie them) and #2 Toledo, a 1.000 winning percentage vs #3 EMU, a .000 percentage vs #4 Ball St, and a .500 percentage vs #5 Kent. But BG won their game vs #6 WMU, while we lost, so BG has the edge. And WMU swept Fiami this year, so they can be no worse than #6.

There may have been some confusion because the MAC lists "division record" as a second tiebreaker, but that's apparently just to determine seeding if there's a tie for division champ. http://getsomemaction.com/sports/2015/3/4/MBB_0304150307.... We have a better division record than BG, but apparently that doesn't count.

Who cares what the tie breakers are. Let's just beat Miami for the sake of beating Miami. And if we play them again on Monday, beat them again for good measure. There's no such thing as too much beating of Miami.

If you were on the team then yah that's a great mindset, but what's wrong with the fans wanting us to have a home game instead of a road game in the first round?

Enough already. Saul having Block handle PG duties? Now I have a problem with that. I don't know what the guy is thinking on this one. Wow.

We just beat our archrival a half-hour ago, and there are NO responses on this thread. WTF? I know we have own the boys from Oxford the last several years, but c'mon... where's the love?

Nice win, Bobcats. Maybe we'll do it again in Millett Hall on Monday...???

While I agree Gavin is far from a natural PG - there's a reason he's handling the ball a lot. He passes well and doesn't turn it over. Our starting "PG" is more of a scorer than a distributor. We need a facilitator and Gavin is willing. He leads the team in assists (99 = 3.3 apg). He also leads the team in assist:turnover ratio (99:47 = 2.106).

Total Assists
1) Block - 99
2) Kirk - 93
3) Dartis - 62

AST:TO
1) Block - 2.106 (99:47)
2) Dartis - 1.590 (62:39)
3) Laster - 1.318 (85:58)

Let's hope Kirk limits the turnovers as a Soph and then Gavin won't be forced into that role nearly as much next year.

Somewhat mundane, but I've always enjoyed seeing how players line up along the lane during free throws.

For example, I always got a kick out of seeing Jason Terry lining up on the third block when an opposing player was shooting a foul shot. There haven't been too many 7-footers in the history of basketball not lining up on the low block.

Now, the other extreme. I've noticed in recent games, in certain situations, 6-3 TK lining up on the low block during opposing players' foul shots. How many other point guards do you see doing that?

There is a reason why our number 4 didn’t bring the ball up court as much as usual. Their number 4 was eating him alive.

This was a good road win no doubt about it.

My only other comment is: can we work on some Outabounds plays?

As for the venue, how quiet can you be? The only thing I will say about it is they have a fairly decent hanging score board.
