https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1997%E2%80%9398_Ohio_Bobcat... Larry Hunter would go 18 - 10, 20 - 13, and 19 - 11 after his 5 - 21 season, only to be fired anyways. People might have forgotten, but Dick Vitale raged against Ohio on National Television for firing Larry Hunter at that time and questioned what kind of negative impact this would now have on the future of Mid-Majors.
And Tim O'Shea's worst team in 2003-04 when the Bobcats were 10-20 came a season before his best one when the Bobcats were 21-11 and won the MAC. It's important not to overreacted to one bad season.
But it's two bad seasons ... in four years ... sandwiching disappointing MAC Semifinal losses.
I agree it's a tad bit overreaction ... but I also this it's a warranted question ... just how good is Saul? For better or worse ... he really only has one more year to answer that question.
That's the reality when you're paid to be the best in the MAC and your team is currently the worst.
