After watching parts of the Toledo - Buffalo I was impressed with their 'Bigs" and strength under the basket.
Bobcats are going to have to "shoot lights out" at the perimeter and "grow some" bigs from within the fall freshman class. Carters return should be a big plus too. Gonna be an interesting 2018 fall for sure.

Buffalo loses only Clark
Toledo returns both Jacksons, Navigato, Adway, Knapke and Sanford
Balls returns Persons, Moses, Teague
Eastern returns Minnie, Jackson, JT4
Akron returns everyone by Duvivier with some transfers coming in
Kent returns all but Ridenour and Zabo
BG returns Frye, Turner, Lillard, Wiggins
Miami returns Sabande, Brown, Lands, Ringo, Wright
Western returns Moore, Jones, LaMont

We return Dartis, Kirk, Carter, DT, Gollon, Block. Aside from Buffalo I think we have the most returning starts in a career but looking above we will be considered middle of the pack -- maybe. We will need Butler, BVP, Gareri, McMurray, Springs and Murrell to turn up at least 3 viable, real minutes options.

Of all the teams you list with departures, I think Kent losing Zabo and Ridenour is big. Balls, UB, and Akron bring in what on paper looks like the highest ranked recruiting classes. I'd expect BSU to be better next year, UB be as good - assuming they don't lose Oates. Toledo will be interesting to see what they look like without Fletcher, and with two new freshmen guards.

For WMU, I think Lamont might be a Sr.

I agree with the idea that Ohio will need three of those guys you mention to give real quality minutes. I think they'll get it too. I think we'll see good things from Murrell + McMurray, and BVP + Butler next year. Jury is still out on AJ, and Springs as we've all discussed will need to add weight/strength and might redshirt.

Considering Butler played some valuable minutes with growing pains, you can add him to your list of players returning (unless you are just talking starters minutes). My money would be on Murrell and BVP being the most ready as far as body type/size and shooting ability. McMurray looks more like an energy guy off the bench from what I've seen. He, Springs, and Gareri all need to get in the weight room and build some strength.

Will be interesting to see if Buffalo loses anyone. With virtually the whole team back and bringing in a couple big time recruits, playing time is going to be hard to come by unless they throttle everyone back to like 20 minutes each, which won't happen. Gotta think there might be at least some attrition.

Also am curious how much of Akron's team stays together now that they've weathered the first year storm.

Western Michigan is the first team to lose a player to transfer this off season. Reggie Jones played in all 31 games, averaging 10.1 points, 3.7 rebounds, and was second on the team with 62 assists.

In combination they lose Wilder and Lamont (I think) to graduation and Jones. That's tough for WMU.

Yep, Buffalo did a great job versus Arizona. Beating the "One and Done" on Saturday would be sweet and a feather in the cap of the MAC !

Before all is said and done, Buffalo may be losing more than Clark. ;)
