Ted, if Monroe didn’t buy tickets and give them away for donations, that is news to me. I just recall him doing a bid or something. If he didn’t really donate, I never cared to check.

I'm curious what you mean by "aggressive." As I said I received some of the Midnight Missives myself (remember it was only 9 pm in California where he lives). Some of the ones I received might have been unhinged, repetitive, strident and egotistical, but I don't recall any that I would have called threatening or anything I would have thought was out of bounds.
The only thing that he did with me that I would have called aggressive was not in a PM, but when he created a thread in Siberia that's sole purpose was to bash your humble correspondent. I don't recall the exact title of the thread, but it was something like "Reacons OCF is Stupid," wherein he solicited negative contributions from other posters about me. It was only up for a few days before the mods took it down. But, I'm willing to forgive. Despite his brashness, I kind of miss his enthusiasm for OHIO athletics.
