Damn. Groce continues to do Groce things. He might not be an outside shooter, but still quite the athlete.

Groce is a master salesman. Can he get them all to mesh? That is the question. I say no.

3 WVU players should help. There's also a TON of minutes to be had on Akron's roster. On paper, Akron is looking tough again.

A little surprised EJ4's presence couldn't reel him in....at least over Miami of all places.

He had 12 games of either 2 or 0 points last season.

It's not like Fiami just got a super-ultra-mega star.

It was not uncommon for him to end up with more fouls than points.

Miami is losing Mirambeaux and Morris and only returning rising sophomore bigs. We are returning Clayton and bringing in Searls in the senior class. Miami has a greater short term need than us. Plus his high school coach was Chet Mason.

I get the Chet Mason and PT part; but I'd hope Searls presence doesn't end up being a hurdle for additional size. Especially, if it's an underclassmen like Woolfolk. I'd imagine Woolfolk would have seen the court at an equal or greater amount of time than Searls. Since size is still a pretty significant short term need for us as well.

So who had the best haul in the portal? Ohio, Akron, Toledo, Ball State, Kent, Miami???

Lots to pick from. Maybe even a Top 3.

Former EMU guard Noah Farrakhan in the portal after one season at WVU. More of a score-first guard than a passing guard. Now that Akron has Isaiah Gray I can't imagine ANOTHER WVU guy going there to a loaded backcourt.

Could see him landing back in the MAC via Toledo, BG, or Kent.
